The Lubbock High girls basketball team didn't think it was possible to go to the post season, but when Alicia Thompson took over as head coach this year, everything changed.
Coach Thompson went to work practicing fundamentals and working on the skill of the team, but more than that she helped the girls believe in themselves once again.
The Lady Westerners have made history by winning three district games so far and securing a spot for the team in the post season.
